My practice focuses on treating ADHD, anxiety, depressive disorders, mood regulation disorders, and behavioral disorders. I also have specialized training in the pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment of Tics, OCD, and other related disorders. I strive to offer a thoughtful, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to evaluation and treatment.
For some background, I am a New Jersey native! I completed my undergraduate degree and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University. I then went on to complete medical school at Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School and three years of residency training at Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson. Following this, I did an additional two year child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I have since been providing outpatient psychiatric care in New Jersey to children, adolescents, and adults for the past 8+ years.

What to expect during your appointments:
Consultation:
I offer a free 15 min phone consultation to all prospective patients to ensure that my practice best suits your treatment needs.
Evaluations:
Intake assessments/Initial evaluations for adults are scheduled for 60-90 minutes depending on complexity and history of your symptoms.
Intake assessments/Initial evaluations for children and adolescents are scheduled for 90-120 minutes depending on complexity of symptoms and history. Individual time is spent with the child/adolescent and the parents, and this time is not necessarily evenly split. It is not uncommon, depending on the age of the child, for more of the time to be spent with parents.
Ongoing care:
Follow up appointments are generally scheduled for 30 minutes. I do also offer 40 minute appointments for patients who require more time.
Therapy appointments:
I also offer weekly 50 min therapy appointments.

No, I operate as a private-pay, out of network practice. You may be eligible for partial reimbursement if your insurance plan includes out of network benefits. I will provide you with a superbill for submission to your insurance company.

Follow up appointments are scheduled Monday to Thursday with first appointment at 930am and last appointment scheduled for 430pm. Initial evaluations are scheduled earlier in the day to allow adequate time to gather all the information necessary to best formulate a treatment plan for you.

Yes, in-person appointments are available in Montclair, NJ during specific times of the week. Availability will be discussed at the time of appointment scheduling.

In the event that a patient needs to cancel an appointment, notification must be given twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled appointment time to avoid being charged for the full appointment.
